Bifunctional coatings for urological catheters

The use of urological catheters is associated with two main problems for the patient - the risk of urinary tract infections (UTI) and painful urethra microdamages arising during introduction and use of the catheter. We are working on coatings for urological catheters surface that will ensure its resistance to bacterial biofilm fouling and reduce the friction coefficient with the urinary tract tissues. These coatings are intended to solve the problems of patients using both short and long-term catheterization.
