I graduated at Warsaw University of Technology, the Faculty of Chemistry, with specialty of Biotechnology.

I have been working in BioMedical Laboratory since 2009, when I joined the team involved in Polish Artificial Heart Project. My previous research concentrated on fabrication of novel materials that are resistant to long-term contact with blood, hence could be applied in cardiovascular surgery. During my engineer’s thesis I concentrated on modification of polyurethane surface with the use of hydrophobic polymers. After that I took up more advanced method of polyurethane modification. That was to cultivate endothelial cells on its surface, so that the final product would mimic a natural vascular tissue. My master’s thesis was based on that research.

An opportunity of working in a field of chemistry, biology and medicine as a member of a great team encouraged me to start PhD studies. I hope my work will help to develop new methods in diagnostics and medical treatment and that would lead to improvement of patients’ life.

Work with students:

  • Techniques in cells cultivation - laboratory (in polish)
  • Microbial Cultures - laboratorium (in english)

My research:

Modification of metallic surfaces by the use of electropolymerization
