Beata Butruk-Raszeja PhD Eng.

I graduated from the Centre of Biotechnology at the Warsaw University of Technology, with specialization in Industrial Biotechnology.

My collaboration with Biomedical Engineering Laboratory started in 2006. My aim was to develop a technique of biodegradable bone scaffold fabrication. My master thesis was a result of two-year research. During the time spent in laboratory I found biomedical engineering very fascinating, so I decided to continue my research. As a Ph.D. student I conducted research on anticoagulant coatings for cardiovascular devices. In 2013 I defended my PhD thesis with honours.

Now, as an Assistant Professor, I focus on research in the field of tissue-engineered small-caliber vascular grafts.
